You’ve tried every diet under the sun without reaping the benefits you so desperately desire, right? If you’ve succumbed to just about every product promise available without seeing results, its may be time for a natural, simple and sustainable solution—one that will help you lose the excess weight and support a healthy lifestyle.
Diet ads and commercial products are a multibillion dollar industry. The problem is that most diets don’t work long-term. There is no quick fix to weight loss. Gimmicky products and absurd, dangerous, fad weight-loss programs are not the answer. In order to achieve lifestyle goals, you must be ready, willing and committed to making sustainable changes. Once you get started and begin to see amazing results, your confidence will soar.
Let’s explore the construction of the dreaded word, d-i-e-t, for a minute. Do you recognize any red flags? First, notice that d-i-e-t is a four-letter word. Oops! You probably don’t like seeing it in print and definitely don’t want to verbalize it! After all, expletives aren’t a respectable way to authentically express our intentions. And d-i-e-t is one of those words, like other obscene terms, that conjure up negative thoughts and emotions. Specifically, what do you think of when you hear the word? Guilt? Failure? Defeat? Challenge? Restrictions? Discomfort? Stop going there! D-i-e-t has already done enough damage!
Second, what do the first three letters spell? No, this is not your time! Today is not the day to fade away—today is the day to LIVE! Replace the defeatist d-i-e-t mentality with a live-it mindset. During this fresh, new season, bury old nutrition habits, and give birth to a healthy plan that promises the success you crave. Demonstrate self-respect. Make a bold announcement: “Hey all! I’m going on a live-it!”
What is your health goal? If it’s only to lose weight, you may not be able to keep the weight off after you’ve reached your goal. But if your goal is to improve your health so you can successfully accomplish daily tasks, experience more energy than you can handle, look amazing and live your best life, then you’ve got an empowering objective that can motivate you to keep going—one that can sustain you for life!
Basic Live-It Nutrition Plan
Here are seven simple steps that will help support a more vibrant, healthier you:
1. Drink plenty of clean water.
Water is the essence of life. It hydrates your cells and cleanses your system.
2. Prepare most meals at home.
When you prepare your own fresh meals, you avoid the dangers of processed foods that are loaded with salt, fat, sugar, artificial preservatives, antibiotics and hormones.
3. Eat whole, vitamin-rich plant-based meals.
Supply your body with vital nutrients by filling your plate mostly with fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans and legumes; and small portions of lean protein.
4. Enjoy your last meal three hours before bedtime.
To improve sleep and digestion, avoid heavy meals right before saying goodnight.
5. Consume modest portions.
Control your appetite by eating small balanced meals.
6. Adopt a regular and enjoyable exercise routine.
Physical activity not only strengthens muscles and bones, but also supports your vital organs, boosts immunity and aids in digestion.
7. Supplement daily.
Make sure you’re getting enough vitamin D and other super-critical vitamins and nutrients. Also, insure that you are supporting your immune and hormonal systems as well as defending your body against the pollutants and dangerous chemicals that are prevalent in today’s environment.
