Need Stress Relief? Music Has The Perfect Notes

What tactics do you employ for stress relief?

Depending on the time of day and my level of stress, taking a break serves me well. Sometimes, I walk in nature, dance to groovy music, stretch my muscles, recite my favorite affirmations, sit quietly and meditate, or listen to natural sounds — like waves lapping the shore — on my iPhone.

It’s difficult to attend to task when you’re stressed, and it’s a good idea to have a collection of effective tools to relieve your tension. Today, I’d like to share a wonderful meditation audio that I came across a few months ago on the YouTube channel called Relaxing Meditation. The title is “Scientists cannot explain why this audio cures people!”

The selection is a continuous, seductive loop. I would describe this arrangement as peaceful, calming and healing. I also like the animated visuals showing the regeneration of different parts of the human body as they heal and transform.

The channel description says that its purpose is to improve relaxation and concentration by stimulating alpha, beta, delta, and theta brain waves.

Studies show that listening to meditation music can boost the production of alpha waves, which may help decrease anxiety and depression.

This piece can be used for sleep, meditation, yoga and study. Tuning in right before bedtime helps me sink into a blissful state. Several times, I played the selection for a few minutes after intense daily activities, and rather than lull me to sleep, it refreshed me so I could tackle the next task. Further, I’ve noticed that this powerful arrangement helps to regulate my breathing, elevate my mood, promote mindfulness, and foster visualization.

Music is well documented as a highly effective, science-backed stress relief hack that can alter your physical and emotional state in minutes. An effective healing tool, listening to music can lower blood pressure, reduce heart rate, and decrease levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

Combining music with meditation and intention can deepen the positive effects of your spiritual practices. Stress reduction methods are highly personal, but if you’re open to trying something new, I believe you may be pleasantly surprised with the benefits of the Relaxing Meditation audio.
