Look to Nature for Inspiration

Don’t you wish there was a way to clear your head and receive inspiration simultaneously?

You’ve often heard me talk about the health benefits of communing with nature.  Nature is my lifeline; it offers inspiration, peace and tranquility, and helps me connect with Spirit on multiple levels.  Many people enjoy being outdoors.  It’s fun to plan a picnic, hike unpaved paths, compete in sports, cast your line in calm waters, and plant a rose garden.

But have you considered seeking the outdoors for motivation?  Nature is an important component of my spiritual practice.  It provides a great setting for meditation.  No need to speak or seek—just be open to receiving what you need.  Some of my most creative ideas emerged in natural settings.

Try this…Pause on a park bench and blend in with your surroundings. Brace your back on an old oak and inhale fresh fragrances wafting in the wood.  Perch on a hill and thrill at the gentle breeze caressing your face. Sink your feet ankle-deep in a lake and delight in the shimmering light waltzing on the water. Bask under a blanket of brilliant stars.  You’re home!

You can’t force clarity, but relaxing under the skies can help sharpen your lens.  If you’ve been wondering about the life you’re living, plant yourself in a garden.  You may begin to sprout a new vision.  French painter Claude Monet said, “The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration.” As you journey up the path of self-discovery, employ nature to clear your mind and spark something magical.  It’s in our relaxed state that our creative juices begin to flow.

Affirm now:  Life is for me, not against me.  Regularly surround yourself in nature, and you will witness this truth.
