Greens and Orange Salad



  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 cup green cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup purple cabbage shredded
  • 6-8 fresh basil leaves chopped
  • 1 large orange peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots shredded (optional)
  • 1 small red onion thinly sliced


  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp agave nectar
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt




  1. In a large bowl, combine the salad fixings.
  2. Add the dressing ingredients to a jar, cover and shake.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad and thoroughly incorporate.
  4. Allow to marinate for 15 minutes in the refrigerator, then mix again.
  5. Enjoy your salad with a hot cup of soup or a warm entrée.
